PG Tech.Mondays – First Get Together

08.03.21 Mon 18:30-20:00
Zoom

Do you want to engage in state-of-the-art machine learning competitions, such as Kaggle, work in teams and discuss and share tips and experiences among like-minded people? Then join our Tech.Mondays Project Group to learn about data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, data visualisations, feature engineering, and common machine learning (ML) modelling approaches.

This is our first get together this semester. The focus is on applying your data science and ML skills on real-world problems together with like-minded people, after we took a closer look at data visualisations last semester. You are welcome to join regardless whether you participated last semester.

We meet weekly or bi-weekly on Monday evenings at 18:30 - approx. 20:00, either on Zoom or on campus. We welcome Bachelor’s up to Ph.D. students who are interested in data science and machine learning and want to apply their coding skills to competitions. Some coding skills in a statistical programming language, preferably in Python or R, are required. We will try to adjust the content to the participants level of knowledge.
